Our Story
The Artisans
Our lead artisan Aydarus has been weaving in Mukalla his entire life. When we first commissioned him he was struggling to find consistent work. Today he oversees production for our full collection and has trained two apprentices. Each shawl takes over four hours of focused handwork from start to finish — more intricate pieces take days.

Our Yemen operations are managed by Saqqaf, who oversees all on-the-ground logistics including sourcing and quality control. He drives hours across cities to ensure specialty weaves and embellishments — the fishnet keffiyah stitching, the olive leaf motifs — are completed by the right hands.
This is what your purchase buys. Not just a product. A living tradition.
The 'Bloom' Collection
Not every piece we carry comes from Yemen. Our 'Bloom' Collection sources handcrafted floral shawls from skilled artisans in India — different country, same mission. Every purchase pays the maker directly.
Filastini Threads
One of our most meaningful collections was born from a question: what more can we do?
Designed in collaboration with Texas-based Qari Adeeb Bari and brought to life by Aydarus — the keffiyah-style fishnet weave, the olive leaf, the colors of home. 10% of every Filastini Threads sale goes directly toward relief efforts in Gaza.
A handmade, ethically sourced piece that supports not just one artisan but an entire community.
